Anh Tran is an associate professor at SPEA, specializing in the governance issues of developing countries. Tran’s current research focuses on transparency, tax evasion, corruption, political networks, and their economic and social outcomes. His articles have appeared in the American Political Science Review, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Public Economics, American Economic Journal: Applied Policy and other leading academic journals.
For the past five years, Tran has served as director of the Vietnam Initiatives at IU, a global think tank on development policies for Vietnam. He is also co-founder and director of the Vietnam Young Leaders Award, a scholarship program that brings exceptional government officials from Vietnam to the United States for postgraduate degrees.
Tran frequently works as consultant for reform initiatives by national governments, the United Nations and the World Bank, and has lived and worked in Russia, France, and Australia. He has participated in UNDP Academic Fellowship, Asia Foundation’s Emerging Leaders Program, and the Vietnamese Prime Minister’s Research Council. Tran is co-founder of the International Society of Vietnamese Economists.

Dr. Duc Khuong Nguyen holds a MSc and a PhD in Finance from the University of Grenoble Alpes (France) and obtains his HDR (Habilitation for Supervising Doctoral Research) in Management Sciences in June 2009. He also completed the “Leaders in Development” program at Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education (2013).

Prior to Facebook, Christy was the Managing Director of Fossil Vietnam and VP of Operations of Fossil Group, which acquired Misfit for $260M in 2015. At Misfit, a Silicon Valley startup that developed and marketed a number of award-winning wearable and smart home technology products, she was the CFO and COO from the company’s founding until its acquisition. The company leveraged its R&D and operations teams in Vietnam, China and the US to quickly grow to be a global leader in wearables in less than three years. Prior to Misfit, she was a consultant at McKinsey and an investment banker at HSBC.

Dr. Nguyen-Phuong-Mai is Associate Professor at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences where she does research and teaches Cross-Cultural Management. In the last few years, she has taken interest in cultural neurosciences together with her study at King's College London in a Master program on Applied Neuroscience. Prof. Dr. Anh Tuan Dinh-Xuan (born 1958 in Sai Gon, Ho Chi Minh City) is a French physician, who received his MD from Paris Descartes University (France) and his PhD in Clinical Sciences from the University of Cambridge (UK). He is currently the Head of the Clinical Physiology Unit of the Thoracic Department of Cochin Hospital - University of Paris, France. His research is focused on the role of nitric oxide in respiratory physiology and pulmonary diseases for which he has received numerous international awards. He has served as member of various editorial boards but his main editorial commitment is with the European Respiratory Journal, being successively Associate, Joint-Chief, Deputy-Chief, and Section Editor from 2000 to date. He is currently the elected Chair of the Publication Committee of the European Respiratory Society. Prof. Dr. Anh Tuan Dinh-Xuan has directed 27 PhD thesis in clinical medicine and physiological sciences and 30 Memoirs of DEA (and M2 research). Dr. NGUYEN Nhu Van is currently a researcher and an instructor at ANR join lab Sail, La Rochelle university. He’s the co-founder cum director of research and innovation at Brickin’Up, a startup in France. The fundraising went to the first case diagnostic of the baby with FEVR/NORI disease and numerous babies in needed of urgent surgery in Nhi Dong Hospital in Vietnam, as well as to build the school and provide food for children in Ha Giang province. She also a member of the Board of Directors of different Vietnamese Associations globally (International Vietnamese Academics Network, Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Experts in Switzerland …) to promote networking, collaboration among academics professional, researchers, and university students of Vietnam origin living in Vietnam and abroad. Dr. Toan obtained his PhD in the domain of Decentralized Information Retrieval Systems from the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in 2007.
He has more than 15 years of experience in Information Extraction and Information Retrieval in several companies and startup in Switzerland where he holds search innovation lead positions. He also gave talk at the European Apache Big Data Conference in 2015.
Before coming to Switzerland, he had several awards in National Olympiad in Informatics and selected as Vietnamese delegation to attend International Festival of Youth and Students.

Dr. Huan X. Nguyen received the B.Sc. degree with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2006. He was with several universities in U.K., including a Research Officer with Swansea University from 2007 to 2008 and a Lecturer with Glasgow Caledonian University from 2008 to 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor of communication networks and Head of 5G & IoT Research Group within the Faculty of Science and Technology, Middlesex University, London, U.K. He is member of the Faculty Research and Knowledge Transfer Committee and is currently coordinating the UK’s Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) team within the department.
His research interests include communications for critical applications, 5G and Internet of Things, machine learning and artificial intelligent for communications, and digital twin. He has published over 100 research papers, mainly in the IEEE journals and conferences. He has secured multiple large-size research grants from the Newton Fund and research councils in the UK, including several projects on 5G/smart transportation, digital twin modelling and research capacity building for academics with partners from universities in Vietnam. He is the Chair of the 2019 26th International Conference on Telecommunications (ICT 2019) and Co-Chair of the 2017 International Workshop on 5G Networks for Public Safety and Disaster Management (IWNPD 2017).
He is currently serving as an Editor for the KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems and the REV Journal on Electronics and Communications. Dr Nguyen is a Senior Member of the IEEE and member of the IEEE Communications Society. He is a Grant Reviewer for Nafosted funding body and frequent reviewer for many IEEE journals. He has also served as session chairs for a number of international conferences in his field.

Tai Nguyen-Ky received the B.E., M.B.A, and M.E. degrees from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 1991, 1999, and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), QLD., Australia, in 2011.
He received USQ international research excellence scholarship award, 2008; Dean’s Commendation Award for Graduate Research Excellence 2008; Dean’s Award for Graduate Research Excellence 2009, USQ, Australia; the award for the Best Student Paper, the fourth International Conference on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technology (RSKT2009), Gold Coast, Australia.
His research interests in biomedical engineering and agricultural engineering. He has made significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge in the areas of biomedical engineering, specifically in extending the technology for monitoring the depth of anesthesia.
He is a research fellow in the USQ Institute for Advanced Engineering and Space Sciences (IAESS). In the last three years, he has been a key member of the strategic project “Computational models to enhance food security and decision support in agriculture” funded by the USQ. Dr Chi Hieu Le graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST, Vietnam), Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and University of Greenwich (United Kingdom) respectively in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Higher Education. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE), and a fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA), United Kingdom (UK). Thanh Trung Do studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated in 2006 with a degree in electrical engineering and high-voltage engineering. Dr Nguyen Nhat Linh is currently working as a medical officer at the Global Tuberculosis Programme, World Health organization Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Linh graduated as a general practitioner in Vietnam and he received postgraduate clinical training in tuberculosis (TB) and lung diseases at Hanoi Medical University. He obtained Master of Science in public health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London and PhD in medical epidemiology from the University of Sydney.
Linh is a medical and public health expert with more than 25 years of experience working in Vietnam and internationally. He started his career in Vietnam, working as a physician at the National Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases and an implementer of the National TB Programme. He spent 4 years conducting TB epidemiological research in Sydney, Australia for his PhD. He joined WHO in 2008 - firstly, as a WHO technical advisor on TB and leprosy for countries in the South Pacific region (based in Fiji Islands) - and since 2012, as a medical officer at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Linh is experienced in public health research, development of global health policy and guidance, and provision of technical support to countries on the implementation of national health programmes, especially on management of tuberculosis.
